AMEVO introduces the 100% biodegradable and organic EKO coco pole!
100% organic and competitive in price
Amevo identified the need in the market to replace the PVC pipe inside the coco pole for a sustainable wooden alternative. Together with the manufacturer, Amevo developed a fully organic EKO coco pole at a competitive price range.
The wood used in the Amevo EKO coco pole had to meet specific quality requirements. Uniformity, strength and durability where all important requirements. Ultimately, Amevo arrived at rubber tree wood. The production of rubber from the rubber tree stops when the tree is around 25 years old. After the production of rubber stops, the tree is chopped and a new tree is planted in the same place. The wood released from the chopping is a residual stream product that is ideally suited for use in the coco pole.
Clean coir
In addition to the high quality and residual rubber wood stream, it is important to work with clean coconut fibers. Amevo's manufacturer and partner in Sri Lanka knows this like no other. When cleaning the coconut fibers, the manufacturer use only rinse water that is 100% recycled and purified again. No rinse water is discharged into nature. Something that was very important for the company in Dronten in choosing to work with this manufacturer.
Unique EKO coir concepts
The manufacturer, Amevo and different growers did also look at various planting support concepts to create a new natural look. Ideas like the coco trelis, the coco wall or the coco pole mini. Various concepts and versions of the EKO coco pole and different concepts are possible on customer request. Contact Amevo to find out more!
