Made from recycled fibers that are stitched into a fleece cloth. Thanks to the three-dimensional structure, water is optimally absorbed and distributed by the mat. This makes them very suitable for greenhouse benches and recirculation fields.
This gives these mats higher tensile strength than comparable lined mats. Easily repositioned, even in wet condition, without the risk of tearing. The fibres are arranged in a three-dimensionally entangled structure that enables an optimum absorption and equally distributes the water through the mat. Other widths, other qualities (200 or 400 g/m2), stretches cut to length as of 40 metres, Capillary mats with an anti-algae layer or capillary mat stitched into geotextile are available on request.
Water capacity
The water capacity of Mevolon capillary mats is approx. 4-5 litres per m². This represents the amount of water the mat is able to retain. This is one of the main characteristics when you choose a capillary mat. The bigger the water capacity, the bigger the amount of water the mat is able to retain.
Applications
Mevolon capillary mats are frequently used in the construction of nursery fields with a horizontal drainage. This is mostly done in combination with Mevolon geotextiles and silage film. The capillary mat is placed in between the geotextile and silage film. Besides that it is very suitable for greenhouse benches in nurseries and garden centres.
