These root screens are made of 1 mm thick HDPE has a height of 100 cm and used to make sure that tree roots grow downward. This avoids roots lifting up street tiles and paving stones. Additionally it gives protection when plants expand easily, like bamboo, and it avoids damage due to roots growing through tubes and mains. Place the screens vertically with an inward inclination of approximately 5º to 10º and leave the top side protruding from the soil somewhat.
