What is tonkin?

Tonkin canes are unprocessed bamboo stem, to be precisely stems from the species Pseudosasa amabilis. Among other things, they are used in the cultivation of plants, trees, shrubs and vegetables. In the regions that they originate from bamboo is used for even broader purposes, such as Building homes and scaffolding. This wide range of purposes makes bamboo one of the most important agricultural crops in the world. And their natural strength makes them withstand drought, rain, strong winds, cold or heat. By the way, did you know that the name tonkin comes from the Tonkin region in Vietnam.

Why should you use tonkin canes from AMEVO?

Depending on the length of the tonkin canes, the top diameter may vary between 20% and 40% from the indicated bottom diameter. AMEVO is the only company that has the top diameter mentioned on the bales, thus ensuring that the canes you need are always strong enough. Each bale is composed of several bundles each carrying 50/100/250 pieces, depending on the number per bale and sorted per bundle on top- and bottom diameter.
