Plant support rings are practical assets to protect plants against tipping over by wind and rain. Especially plants in bloom are often top heavy and prone to tipping over when they are not supported.
AMEVO plant support ring can be attached to split bamboo, or tonkin cains to support plants. The required cane sizes for the various rings are mentioned on the article pages of the rings. The plant support rings with “spokes” need to be placed by the plants in an early stage when the plants are about 20-25 cm high. When plants are bigger, or further in bloom you can use the adjustable support ring Ø 35-50 cm and the undulated plant support ring. These rings can be put around the plant. By being undulated, this plant support ring provides a better spreading of the plant’s stems. This ring is often used with Hydrangeas.
Plant support rings with other diameters, for example 12 cm, 12.5 cm and 13.5 cm are available on request.
Use of plant support rings in the breeding sector
Plant support rings are often used in the propagation or breeding sector. Especially the adjustable 35-50 cm ring, mostly in combination with the 210 cm synthetic plant cane with a thickness of 11 mm. Often multiple rings are used on one cane to support for example potato plants during growth.
