Binding tape scrap free
A moveable support plate of ingenious design enables a completely trouble free and scrap free binding operation. No more small bits of tape that are left behind littering up the environment or that clog up the binder. One front-end has been reinforced and, due to the placement of two metal protrusions above the blade, the tape is kept under tension while it is cut. This ensures that the tape is always being cut cleanly and reliably.
The lightweight blue BJA TB-SI tapener
At just 421 grams the new BJA TB-SI blue tapener is a real lightweight, yet extremely durable. Especially impressive is the perfect balance, the weight is so evenly distributed that the tapener feels even lighter in the hand. Made from sustainable aluminium, plastic and steel, it is 25% lighter than its well-known purple counterpart. The weight of 421 grams even includes all kinds of extras like a spare blade, two spare springs and a convenient steel pin, to remove staples that got stuck. Besides that, the tape holder has been reinforced with hinges. The BJA TB-SI also requires very little squeezing power. It has a built-in stopper too, to stop you from squeezing too hard, which would flatten the staple before you've secured the bind to the plant. On top of that, the handle has been designed even more ergonomically.
Here you can find more information about this tapener.
The well-known purple BJA TB-S tapener
Just like his blue counterpart the purple is ergonomically shaped and requires very little squeezing power. Obviously this tapener is also scrap free.
Tip: A very handy accessory is the braid holder that can be placed over the staple magazine. The braid holder enables you to staple the tape to braided threads.
