How to secure netting and meshes?

There are different ways to secure netting and meshes, this fully depends on the situation. For instance the bungee hook, elastic rubber and stretch cord are perfectly suited to secure cover netting.

Netting secured on steel structures

It is very easy to secure shade netting onto steel structures, for example a shade house, with steel, or plastic clamps. Is it required for the shade netting to be able to opened? Then there are the oval clamps. The eyelids on the side of these clamps can easily slide over a wire.

Tip: Fixate a Mevonyl crop wire both over and underneath the netting, These wires have to be placed in the middle of the netting. This prevents the netting taking on a sail like shape. Mevonyl crop wire can be simply fixated and tensioned with  Gripples.

Netting secured on fences

The most imported thing when securing netting against fences is the structural strength of the fence. The denser the mesh, the more wind it catches, so also the stronger the construction must be. Never secure shading netting, or Mevoleen netting directly to a fence using only tie rep cable ties. The mesh will tear apart easily because of the small contact surface between mesh and cable tie.

Always use Mevonyl crop wire when securing meshes and netting on fences. This highly durable wire is stronger then steel wire and is has a very high breaking load. Many of our netting are equipped with one or more strengthened sides, or tacking eyes. This can be used to guide the wire trough. You can guide the wire gently through the netting, when the it is not equipped with these options. The next step is the secure and tension the wire to the poles, using Gripples. The last step is to secure the wire and netting to the fence using tie rep cable ties. Using the cops wires ensures a better distribution of pressure and keeps the netting more durable. Again, make sure you also tension a wire halfway the netting, to prevent getting a sail shape.
